Young “progressives” at Yale Law School met to figure out how to change the US Constitution so they can liberate the US from right wingers by 2020. They assert they are taking a page from Ed Meese’s playbook who invited “conservatives” to do something similar in '88. The lefties figure the righties got ‘em by the neck today so they persuaded the progressives’ favorite candyman – George Soros – to pony up for a weekend confab in New Haven to plot next steps. Quillnews has a suggestion to those law students with time on their hands. If you are looking to change things, ask Soros to give money to some real liberators – the Muslims in America and their co-religionists around the world who are bravely seeking to take back their religion from the Islamist psychopaths who want to destroy the US Constitution, the freedom it guarantees, the hope it inspires, and the future it protects.
As they say in learned seminars, let’s build on that: Byron York (BY, BY2, BY3, BY4) has done some legwork about who’s paying for the so-called progressive agenda, and the various mechanics employed to – among other things – get control of Democratic Party, Congress, the courts and the White House. The Soros dominated net got some of their organizing ideas from Dr. Karl Rovenstein's '04 purloined Powerpoint stategy disc. The ironic Hillaryesque title of York's new book is The Vast Left Wing Conspiracy.
Quillnews thinks it be a neat idea for this Soros dominated network York has identified to refocus its Media-ville agenda a bit to fund and support the fight against American’s Real-Life enemies, and who are now being challenged by brave Muslims who could use some back-up support and supplies. These emerging advocates for Islamic reform are like Marines, armed with bravery and all the ammo they can carry, but who need replacements and support after the first wave of assault. These brave few face Islamist jihadists who have been trained and armed for decades by the billions of oil revenues from the Saudi Kingdom, and who have established worldwide networks. (Quillnews, QN2)
This is where Soros, other rich leftie bank rollers here, here, and their student acolytes could be of genuine use to humanity – and not just talk about rewriting the core document of the American republic. (Which, by the way, won't happen.) They can support the Muslims who are seeking to liberate their religion from tyranny, liberate their women from servitude, and ensure their children can live in a free world that will nurture them to realize the potential Providence intended. To Quillnews that’s a whole lot better than sitting around a New Haven conference room and complaining to each other about how bad they have it. Here is a list of the deserving fighters seeking to liberate their religion from tyranny. (HT FPM, FPM2)

- Dr. Homa Darabi Foundation
- Walid Shoebat
- Nonie Darwish
- Institute for the Secularization of Islamic Society
- Saudi Institute
- Secular Sudan
- The American Islamic Forum for Democracy
- Islamic Reformation
- Muslim Refusenik
- The Center for Islamic Pluralism
- The American Libyan Freedom Alliance
- Reform Party of Syria
One or more of these groups will no doubt become dominant and become the focus of anti-Islamist Muslims seeking reform. It's a free market of ideas. At the moment, the guys with the money and activist track record are getting all the ink and airtime in Media-Ville, mostly offshoots and fronts from existing networks of Wahhabis, Hamas, Hezbollah partisans, etc. Eventually the public square will figure out which ones are legit and which are merely repackaging hate. The more transparency on this vital debate the better. Freedom of Assembly works!
(Editorial Aside: Speaking of Yalies, Quillnews would put money on Yale Law’s Hillary Clinton as the class of the D-field in '08. She’s doing the job for New Yorkers in DC, wins high marks from Hill rats (both R & D) for her hard-slog day-to-day committee work, and for tossing off enough red state rhetoric to separate herself from the Deaniacs. Classic Clintonian 'triangulation.' Aside 2: then again, she can still say the dumbest stuff (NYP, NYP2), which the hard right eats up; so I’d wouldn't bet on her actually winning the White House job.)
