Quillnews has a hunch Arianna Huffington mislaid her uber-sensitive celebrity mojo with the news reported in the New York Times (!!!) with an LA dateline that she is going to move the blogosphere from the “anonymous” to the realm of the “celebrity collective” she will, uh, lead. Two of the best reactions so far – Tim Blair and the UK Guardian (HT LGF). To Quillnews, much the blogosphere’s attraction is the splendid absence of the manufactured icons of celebrity culture. It’s hard for me to believe – as told in perfect pitch in the Guardian – that Arianna, Warren, Maggie, Tina and the others in the glam world that loves the buzz have a clue about what is at work here, or what regular posting would entail to their busy lives in front of MSM cameras and microphones. I suspect Brian Anderson, author of South Park Conservatives, has a firmer grip on the spirt of the day – not Arianna’s pampered celebrities and their legions of enablers. (NYPost, Pinkerton, Gelernter, Powerline, PL2, WSJ, WSJ2) On the other hand, if these oh-so VIP citizens of Media-ville have it in them to express themselves in ways anybody will care, well, good luck to ‘em. Either way, Tim’s right: blogs rule!
